That is missing in Edmonton….having a great time and tonnes of good visiting…I’ll be by all your sites soon to catch up and then I’ll update mine. Having fun with Isaac and missing Jason lots; totally appreciating that my son is not yet mobile. Jason will be sooooo appreciated when we’re out in BC for Christmas and I can’t just lay Isaac down somewhere and walk away to get stuff done.

Tummy time

August 19, 2008

Not that it’s hard to convince Isaac to spend time on his tummy. These are older and from when we were back home, but I had to share.

Island Boy

August 15, 2008

Isaac’s gone Island. We’re spending a week in Salt Spring with my folks before heading up Island to the Comox Valley. We spent the morning going to the weekly market in the meadow with Grandma Char for some veggies, then hit the organic store and second hand shop where I found a pair of non-maternity jeans that fit (and only cost $1!). We did it all in Island style in his new tie dye onesie courtesy of Grandma.

It’s a wrap!

August 12, 2008

Better late than never. Here are some pictures of one of our carriers in action. It’s  our Gypsy Mama Bali Breeze 5.5 yard Gaia.

We’re starting to enjoy wraping more now that we’ve had more practice. Also now that Isaac is getting longer he’s not so keen on being froggied in the Baby Mei Tai for long periods of time.

… in BC

Towle Family Reunion

August 4, 2008

What a blast. Jason’s family has a reunion every other year over the Aug long weekend. This year Isaac and I attended without Jason, he has been greatly missed, but everyone was happy to meet his son. My cousin Camille came with Jason and I to the last family reunion (in 06) the weekend before our wedding. She liked it so much she came back this year! You can see why as this is where the reunion is held:

It is on Jason’s Grandpa’s property in Youbou BC, and is well attended. This year there were over 50 people. Here is a shot of Isaac and his great-grandpa Bud.

Sunday was sunny so Isaac got all dressed up to hang on the beach with the fam.The lake was a little cool for little boys so Isaac swam in his own private pool intsead. Unfortunelty he was so sleepy we didn’t get the preformance we had hoped for that we usually get in the tub, he was all dopey eyed and yawns instead of coos and grins.
