My first Doll
I made my first doll. It is waldorf in style and I used a 12” friendship doll pattern from Dancing Rain Bears. It is made with all natural materials, stuffed with wool and covered in cotton. Her name is Payton.

Here she is with her hair down
I think I used a bit too much wool for the hair; she has tonnes! I did use two types of ‘hair’, I used brunnette mohair and brown crocheting cotton for highlights.

here you can see the highlights in the hair

Happy Easter
The Easter bunny came and Isaac had his first egg hunt.

the first egg

what fun

second egg

is it tasty?

He spies the baskets

he empties his basket

He sees the egg behind him

mid shake...it rattles!

there was a time, not too long ago, where this would have led to a face plant.

more eggs!

maybe papa wants a taste
After that he kind of lost interest and never ‘found’ the sixth egg, but it was so much fun. I’m so glad he was crawling for Easter.
Daddy’s home!
I tried to catch the big smile and bright face Isaac always gives us when someone comes home. Bailey was a little distracting so it’s not his biggest smile; and my camera was a little confused sometimes on what to focus on, but you get the idea.

I think I hear something

peeking around the corner

Papa!!
Look out World
Here comes Isaac…
Now here is were I’d add a great little video of him throwing his water bottle out of the way, being momentarily distracted by a ball and then finally reaching his little police car. But I can’t get it to load. So for those of you who know me on facebook it’s there if you want to see it. Everyone else will just have to use their imaginations (darn tricky technology).
Snot and stuff
Poor Isaac is sick with a head cold and is very snarfely. He can’t breath and can’t sleep and naps are practically none existent. During the day though he is surprisingly happy (although he gets frustrated easily on so little sleep) and still working on crawling. While he’s not an official crawler yet, he is mobile with a cute little bum scoot/crawl move to get where he wants to go. His confidence is really the only thing holding him back, so I suspect in a few days he’ll be all over the place.
